This policy explains what information WhatIsMyCatBreed.com handles when you use the photo identifier, calculators, guides, or contact page.

Cat photos and breed estimates

When you submit a photo, the image is sent through our server to Google's Gemini API so the model can produce a visual breed estimate. The application code does not save uploaded photos to a site database or make them public. The image is still processed by Google as a service provider, so Google's applicable terms, privacy practices, and retention controls also govern that processing.

Do not upload an image containing people, private documents, location details, or anything else you do not want processed for this purpose.

Contact information

If you email us or use a configured contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. We use that information to respond, investigate reports, and maintain the site. A configured web form may be delivered by Formspree; otherwise the page directs you to email us.

Technical data and third parties

Hosting and security providers may automatically process ordinary request data such as IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, requested URLs, and error logs. The site also loads Google Fonts. These providers process data under their own terms and policies.

Retention and security

We keep correspondence and operational records only as reasonably needed to answer requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can use the quiz and most calculators without uploading a photo or creating an account. To ask about, correct, or delete information you sent directly to us, email hello@whatismycatbreed.com.

We may update this policy when the service or its providers change. The date above shows the latest revision.
